The iconic water tower that was converted into a house
Water Tower House
Built in 1892, this iconic piece of history sits on the border of Seal Beach and Sunset Beach and is visible to anyone driving through the area along Pacific Coast Highway. At about 100 feet tall, this structure was used to fill steam engine locomotive trains in a time where there was nothing else around and before the towns of Sunset Beach and Seal Beach even existed. The green belt near this was actually where the former train tracks were. In the 1980's the water tower was redesigned as a house and was the tallest house in America, it's now the second tallest. It's available to rent through AirBnb
