A 30 acre fire breaks out in Laguna Niguel, an unincorporated city of Orange County, the fire took place between I-5 and Golden Lantern where Marina Hills Drive ends. Fire crews from Orange County, Laguna Beach, and Newport Beach responded to gain containment of the fire before nightfall, 2 air attacks were using water dropping. Residents at adjacent houses sprayed down their surroundings to help prevent the fire from spreading to their houses, no forced evacuations took place but the fire did come within 20 feet of some homes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
