Rose Fire
A brush fire broke out around 3:00pm on Monday in an unincorporated area of Lake Elsinore Northwest of the lake. It is believed that a lawn mower or similar type of equipment started the blaze. Agencies responded from CAL FIRE/Riverside, CAL FIRE/San Bernardino, CAL FIRE/San Diego, City of Lake Elsinore, Orange County Fire Authority, Riverside County Fire Department, Riverside County Fire Emergency Management Department, Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, USFS – Cleveland. Ground crews, helicopters, and fixed wing aircraft battled the blaze.
Evacuation orders were given for nearby home as well as evacuation warnings for nearby campsites. All evacuation orders were lifted around 8:00pm Monday evening.
As of 9:00pm Monday night, the fire is at 200 acres with 10% containment.
