Southern Alligator Lizard
You can typically find these lizards somewhat near creeks, laying out on open spaces to warm up. Their name comes from the similarity to alligators of their back scales which are attached to bone. Their color can vary but you can typically identify them by their alligator-ish look compared to other lizard species we see here. Their diet typically consists of other lizards, spiders, bird eggs, and insects. They are immune to black widow venom so they will go after them as well.
