Cooper's Hawk

A master predator of the skies and other birds worst enemy, Cooper's Hawks primarily feed on other birds. While not as common as red-tailed hawks, you'll likely find these birds perched in trees, on top of walls, in neighborhoods, and overlooking wetlands or fields. These hawks are smaller than the more commonly sighted red tails but they are very efficient predators, primarily preying on smaller birds. You might find them in your backyard looking for small birds near bird feeders which make for easy targets.
